Somni's Engine calls its playable characters recruits or toons. The official description confirms that they have unique perks and abilities. Captured gameplay gives us direct evidence for four names: Peanut, Magni, Loaffle, and Luckee.

This is not a claim that only four exist. It is the portion of the roster supported by our current video sources. Pair it with the perk evidence page and beginner guide.

Peanut

Peanut's character panel was clearly read in a CyberHaptic video. In that recorded beta build, the displayed stats were:

StatValueStatValue
Health2Walk2
Stealth5Repair3
Scavenge5Stamina2
Run4Strength1
Extract3Sight4

Her active, Boxed In, reduces movement speed while increasing resistance and stealth. The panel shows extra stealth while stationary, reversion when hit, and a 10-second cooldown. Her passives are Trembling Grip, an accuracy penalty, and Fleeting Presence, which increases noise reduction while she is not actively making noise.

Those values are useful for understanding the recorded build, but they should be rechecked in game after balance updates.

Magni and Loaffle

A PurpleCuub starter video visibly presents Magni and Loaffle. The creator selects Loaffle and then observes both starters are available. This footage supports them as starter options; it does not support a claim that players must permanently choose only one.

The transcript identifies Loaffle's abilities as Loafy Aroma and Rising Yeast. Her displayed kit involves healing nearby targets and healing on zone entry. Because automatic captions distort portions of the ability text, this guide does not publish exact values or treat every transcribed word as authoritative.

Luckee

A second CyberHaptic video shows Luckee with three in each displayed base stat. His active Spin to Win grants a random item based on the color landed on. His displayed passive changes a random stat when entering a new zone and excludes walk speed from that change.

Luckee's current-build identity is therefore strongly tied to random outcomes. Statements about whether that makes him strong or weak are player opinions, not verified game data.

What “recruit” does not prove

The captured footage shows players selecting and controlling recruits. It does not demonstrate a separate AI companion who follows the player through rooms. Earlier wording that recruits “accompany” players went beyond the evidence and has been removed.

A community wiki publishes a larger roster, prices, and full stat tables. Until those entries are checked in current gameplay or developer material, they remain leads rather than verified facts. Somni's Engine is in beta, so even directly observed stats can be rebalanced.
